Let me start by saying I know attempts have been made to remake Simbro, and all of them have failed or are in development limbo. I'm here to bring a remake to completion, hell or high water. Unlike most remakes, Simbro ResErection is backed by me (a programmer since 2006) and a talented artist. I'm not going to lie; I'm doing this to make money. Unlike others, I'm also prepared to put in the hard work.
Development has already started, and it's going well. We are "updating" the art assets to give the game a more modern feel. Why not use the old art? I hear you ask. The main reason is due to conflicts with the playshapes art. From what I understand, the artist doesn't want their art used anymore for one reason or another. We want to respect that.
State of the Game
We are excited to announce that our first public/demo build is now out! We've worked hard to get where we are today, but the game is far from done. The base systems are complete, but we still have a lot of content to add. Right now, we have virtually no story or missions. We still need to incorporate the shop, bar, and a bunch of other things. The game has bugs and crashes, but it also shows how much dedication we have for this revival.
If you want to know more, you can visit my Patreon or Subscribe Star, where I post more detailed information on features and other things. All posts concerning the remake are public (no need to subscribe) and give more insight. For those wondering, all money made through patron goes back to the game. I refuse to make any money from this game until the demo is out. Even still, I'll only take a cut once the game becomes self-sustaining. Paying artists, composers, writers, and voice actors come first.

If the game doesn't start, move it to a different folder. Once you move the game you can either play it from there or move it back and play it. I know... dumb.
For Android Users!
You may need to uninstall previous versions to install and play the new version.

Reading your description I saw your explanation as towards why you are using different art for this version. I respect for respecting the original artists wishes.
Art aside, are there anything you think you might do differently in this version then original version? I ask this, because I played with the original SimBro some years ago. There were some things, yet other things I dislike. And the things I dislike were enough that I probably would not have pursed trying to finished the game, if they ever did finished it. So I am wanting to know if there is a chance you might do some things different, to see is it worth me to try following your development or not. If the answer is no, that's fine. I will accept this will not be my type of game then.

Yes, we do plan to do things differently from the original. We plan to rework all the dialogue, systems, and gameplay to make the game feel more "modern". We're also adding features and systems to the game that the original didn't have like a mission screen and tutorials. We would love to hear what you disliked about the original game.
For me was scenarios of sex without consent. I remember there your times were could fight people, and if you and they were female, you have your characters to force sex on the defeated person. Or they could force sex on your female characters if they defeated you and female characters in your party.
Also salves...... I do not know why slaves a was thing in the original game. I tried to avoid the whole slave and dungeon thing, but somehow I still ended up with slave prisoner, I cannot remember details. It involved something with that thing that searched other dimensions for stuff. Maybe I chose poorly with a character without understanding the outcome of my choices. Regardless, I am not necessarily against the idea of taking prisoners if a game maker wanted to include such a function, but I would not want to rape or abuse them.
The following is just explain were my lines would. I understand they might sound like suggestions, making suggestions is not my goal. I just do not know how to better explain what my lines are in any other matter. I would rather options of trying to charm and winning them over to join my side of things, or release them if that fails and seems unlikely to happen. Or giving them to law enforcement for a bounty reward, assuming they have criminal record and have outstand warrant. Or lacking a criminal record, maybe ransom, maybe. I understand the ramson idea or charming a prisoner to join me would be a grey area, but they would have been a grey areas I would have been comfortable with then what was in the original game.
Those were things that bothered me in the original game. If those are things you actually want to keep in this version, then I will move on and accept this will not be my kind of game.
Is it possible to get the game on Steam in Germany at all?
I don't believe so. I think it's due to the rating.
Thinking of potentially getting this on steam, Is it going to be the same price when the full thing comes out? Not to say the pricing is bad, just simply a tough category of game to want to pay even more money for if that makes sense?

This one is only a demo. It will not contain all of the story or have cheats.
Great game UI and development though when i try to scroll down on the sex positions i cannot. The scroller doesn't move at all and I'm stuck with only starting 9-10 positions

I'm from Germany. I'd like to keep track on Steam, but the game is not available in my country (laws for youth protection, I guess?) Is there a list of countries, where I can access the game on steam ?

Man you have to change some things in character creater curently the button size is small can be made just a bit big, when you are in character creation and you have not even finished it takes to intro i guess the problem is double tap add a confirm character button so we can atleast complete our character,

Brooo ... i love that you brought back the game I pkayed a lot back in the day. Its still very early but very promising. The animation is very good, fluid and smooth. Love watching it.

Well what can I say, this is still an early alpha. I don’t recommend playing, the key mechanics are not ready yet...
Added a female character. This is good.
We added some clothing elements and zoom when creating a character.
The brothel works and brings in money. But why do we need money? There is nowhere to spend them. In addition, the brothel overpopulation mechanics are broken. There is only one living room and the staff can be hired endlessly. And there is no scrolling through the list of personnel when there are too many of them and do not fit into the screen.
The hospital does not work, although it is present in the dialogue file.
There is a bank but without functionality. You can only talk to Eva and nothing more. Even if you cheat money, you won’t be able to pay off the loan.
The store is closed.
The bar is not open.
In the slums you can hire or buy a girl. Hire, fight or offer your girlfriend to a guy. Save the girl from the bandits and get a reward.
And perhaps that's all. Looking forward to the next updates...

The music is good
The art style is pretty good and i really like the small movements on the characters it makes them feel more alive and not just static while u read the story and the backgrounds are pretty good to
The tutorial is quite helpful and explains how it works well
The character editor could use a bit more options but its pretty good keeping in mind its an early version
Overall its pretty good cant wait for the upandcoming updates :D

Fan of the original, glad to see an effort being made. Pretty light on gameplay so far, but art and music are promising. Look forward to seeing where this goes.

Some people have reported this issue. It seems it's due to certain Mac versions. I'm told that if you unzip the file and move the extracted app to a different folder it starts to work.

Unfortunately, we don't have a way to distribute the Android updates through Steam. We do plan to also make the game available here on Itch.io for those that can't get the game on Steam and those that use Android.
The Itch.io version won't be available for a few updates to minimize people complaining about the lack of content.

Well, I missed the game quite a bit and I'm really glad to see that they are trying to make an updated version of the project, Remade you could say?
Anyway, some things that I would like to see in this is if it is possible in the future to have a greater variety of animations, clothing and content (missions, actions with the girls, in general, things that you can do). Since we talked about the fact that in the original Simbro we had not only the girls that you could get in the normal way, but also, for example, the banker, the ones from the bar and the ones you could get after repairing the robot in the basement.
In addition to the original content, it would be nice if they were looking to add a lot more things over time, be it mini-games and other things that go with the theme of the game itself.
Well, in general, add more things to do so that the player doesn't get bored just having sex with the girls.

I played a little v0.02, and here's what I can say
Plan of the brothel compared to the original:
- In the original, on this screen we see the amount of money, health, stamina, day and time, the number of free places for residents. Also in the presence of the button "end the day", "staff", "reception" and "map". Very optional.
- In Reserection on the same screen, health and stamina are not visible, time and day are not visible, the number of free places is not visible. Now buttons. Um... Just close the menu? There are buttons "enter the room" and "build" but it was in the original. The rest of the buttons are not. "Card" and "staff" were hidden in the smartphone, as in the previous version.
Slum:
- In the original there is a button to go back to the map
- In Reserection, you need to look for a map in your smartphone again. Of course, on the left of the screen there is a moving list of locations, but as for me it would be more convenient to return to the map
Reception:
- In the original, the "wait an hour" button is always visible. And in the troupes, by the way, too. The "End Day" button is also visible
- In Reserection, you need to press the clock for this button to appear. As for me, this is an extra action in this particular location.
Another difference or possibly a flaw. In the original, the day can only be ended in the study, and not anywhere as in Reserection. Also, in Reserection, it is not yet possible to call employees to your office.
I caught an error, if I lose in battle and after that start the battle again, the game crashes because I'm already lying on the floor defeated =)
And one more thing, this is with regards to the original. At some point in the game, the police will come to us. As far as I remember, this happens when Notoriety and reputation is over 10. And the most stupid thing for me is that it grows not only from the work of a brothel, but also from fights or sex in the slums. That is, I had cases when the brothel did not work for a day, there was not a single client, not a single employee, and the police came to me believing that there was a brothel. I don't think this is how it should work. Is it my personal reputation and Notoriety or is it still related to the brothel? At a minimum, Notoriety should only grow from the work of the brothel, but the slums should not affect this characteristic in any way.

It's a shame that the developer set the subscription price too high and at the same time gives almost nothing in return.

All of our tiers give subscribers access to recent builds one week early, discord benefits, and access to the in-game cheat menu. Aside from our $3 tier, the rest of the tiers also have voting power which allows subscribers to vote on future updates and outfits (Starting in July). If you have suggestions for rewards we would love to hear them!
We understand that not everyone can afford $3 a month. That's why we're making a version for itch.io and Steam which will allow you to purchase the game once ($13) and still receive regular updates.
I have an offer but I doubt that you will appreciate it. The original game had a $1 subscription and I supported the developer for half a year. Only after 3 months in a row there were no updates, I canceled the subscription. When will the game be released in Steam? That's where I'll probably buy the game eventually...
The game will be released on Steam in early access on July,14,2023.

The game will be Early Access which means it won't be complete. We still have a ton of work to do, but this gives people the chance to support us without a subscription. The Early Access version will receive regular free updates until the game is complete.
Also, the Early Access Steam version will have a launch discount of 15% for a week which will make it about $11 instead of $13.

Can you add a fat belly, warts, deformed head and penis size in the character build? I would like to play an ugly bastard character. It's just a suggestion it's your remake and it can musk for fetish in the game.

EXTREMELY INCOMFORTABLE CONTROL!
Why are all important functions hidden in a smartphone? This is an unnecessary intermediary that slows down management. Why not put all the important buttons on the screen at once, as it was in the original? Too many buttons have to be pressed just to go to the next location. And you will have to walk a lot in the game, judging by the experience of the original version.
We are working on improving controls. We plan to have on-screen (without opening the phone) for easier controls in the future. We also plan to add buttons on the left side of the screen to navigate the map.
